Installing the Asian Font Support

How do I install Asian Font Support in Windows XP? Open the Control Panel (Click the "Start Menu" and chose the "Control Panel").
Then click the "Date, Time, Language and Regional Options" icon.

The select the "Add Other languages" task.

You should then see the "Regional and Language Options" dialog box as shown below.
Two things need to be done here:

1. Click on the "Install files for East Asian Languages" check box
(This ensures that the correct fonts are installed).

2. If you want language support for Thai languages and right-to-left languages,
click on that box as well.


3.Click on the OK button. You might be asked for the Windows XP installation disk
How do I install Asian Font Support in Windows 2000?
  1. First open the Control Panel dialog box by clicking on the Start button, moving the mouse to Settings and click on Control Panel.



    Then double click on Regional Options to open its dialog box.


  2. Under the General tab in the Regional Options dialog box, check the languages you want supported (Japanese; Korean; Simplified Chinese; and/or Traditional Chinese) by clicking in the checkbox next to those languages listed under Language settings for the system. You may need to scroll down to see the language options you want. You may be prompted for a Windows 2000 Professional CD-ROM.


3.Click on the OK button.

Mac OSX

Mac OSX already supports Asian fonts completely

Mac OS9

We currently don't know how to support Asian fonts on Mac OS 9. If you know how please contact us and let us know.
